We feel so blessed to have this sweet baby boy join our family! We could not be more in love with this child. He fits right in and made this transition in our family a very smooth and enjoyable one. I had many fears about having more children, having enough love for each of them, patience to take care of them and deal with each of their needs. Each one of my fears went away the second he was born. There is an instant love and connection that you have with this little person that it is impossible not to love them as much as the last!

Sweet Brothers

My Pregnancy in whole: was an easy one, much like my first. I carried much lower the second time than I did with Bronson which had it’s own discomforts. I felt as though my pregnancy lasted forever until the day he was born and I looked back and thought “That’s it?? It’s over??” I pray that with our next baby I will have a say in that I DO NOT want to be pregnant in another Arizona summer!! Let’s hope our plan works!! A few things that I want to remember about being pregnant with Greyson are his hiccups. He had them ALL the time. {He does out of my tummy too!} I felt as though I could feel every part of his body moving around. Every time I felt worried about him not moving I was able to poke my belly and he would move right away to assure me that he was ok!! I could always feel his back arch on the right side of my tummy and his feet would sweep across my belly on the left side at the same time. He will still have his back arched at times if you hold him a certain way. I think it was his way of stretching out when he ran out of room.

The Birth Story: is one for the records… a smooth, easy and enjoyable one to say the least! To start out I was sure that he was going to come early but was trying really hard not to get my hopes up {of course, that did not work} I was having a ton of pressure and felt him dropping. So at my 35 week appointment, I was technically 34wk 6days. I asked him to check me {which was a week earlier than he had planned on} He did and I was already dilated to a 1.5 and 50% effaced {huge improvement from my first pregnancy.} The following week I was so eager to be done with this pregnancy that I was willing to do whatever it took. I asked to have my membranes stripped and he told me no because it was a week earlier than he was allowed to do it but he promised he would do it the following week.That week I measured at a 2 and 60%. My 37 week appointment came and I didn’t even have to hold him to his promise, he remembered and asked all on his own, I was more than willing!! That week I was measuring at a bigger 2 and 70%. Having good progress but a little discouraged at the fact that I was still a 2!! That night I had contractions all night. I made sure I went to the grocery store and got everything situated just incase I went into labor!! Finally half way through the night they went away and I was able to sleep but not without being sad that they went away!! Another week and appointment came. This time I was 38 weeks and 6 days. I was stripped again and scheduled to be induced the following morning at 9am. I feared calling the following morning and being told that they didn’t have room for me. I left my 4:30 appointment and started having contractions on the car ride home. Again, I prepared and made sure everything was in order. Bags were fully packed at this point because either way I was having a baby some time that weekend. The contractions never stopped. They were about 3 to 5 minutes apart for several hours but they didn’t feel intense enough to have my parents come and get Bronson. They started to space out some being 13 minutes apart, really random. I went to bed with contractions, walked around the house keeping them going until I felt I could go back to bed around 2am. I woke up at 3am with the most intense contraction and they kept coming. I was pretty sure this was it but with it being 3am I had to be sure before I pulled my parents out of bed to come over. They continued for 30 minutes while laying in bed. I walked around for another 15 before waking up Nick and calling my mom. By the time they made it to my house at 4:30 I was on all fours breathing through these insane contractions. We arrived at the hospital at 5am. I was measuring at a 5, I was checked in and had my epidural by 6:30 {the longest and most painful hour and a half of my life!} I was feeling great after that kicked in. I was checked at that point by my Dr. and was already at a 7.5 and 100%. He said to me “Looks like we are going to have this baby well before you were scheduled to be induced!” Nick and I looked at each other in shock with the progress I was making. This was nothing compared to the 12 hours I spent in L & D with Bronson, 4 of which I was actually pushing! About an hour or so later I was checked again, now at a 9.5. My nurse came back about 20 minutes later and I was at a 10. We did one trial push and he was crowning. She called the Dr. who showed up quickly and had me push through 2 contractions and he was here!! Right on my chest getting cleaned off. He was a healthy little boy passing all of his test with flying colors. We could not have had a better overall experience!! We were home the next day and have been enjoying every bit of it since!!

Today marks 31 weeks, only 9 weeks left. YaY!!!

I have said before that I have felt like the second pregnancy goes a lot slower than the first. Today I actually had my first “oh no, I’m having a baby” thought. There isn’t a whole lot to do with the 2nd boy in a row. I already have just about everything that I need, especially since they will be so close in age, I don’t have to replace very much. So for that reason I have been pretty relaxed the entire time, not feeling like I had anything to rush for. I am a total list person and today I pulled out my pen and paper to make sure I knew exactly what I needed to do and how much time I have left to do it all. I feel much better now!!

I thought it would be fun to scrap some comparison pages. The first two are pictures of my belly with Greyson, both in the exact same outfit, one at 19 weeks and the other at 31 weeks. The last one is comparing my belly at 31 weeks with Greyson and Bronson. It’s crazy how different each pregnancy can be…

{an update so far}

I am in my THIRD and FINAL trimester… YAY! I can see the end in sight. We are 12 weeks out from meeting our new little boy and we couldn’t be more thrilled. As Nick put it, it still seems so surreal, we are going to be a family of 4 and have 2 little boys! With the 2nd pregnancy I feel like it is going SO slow. I’m not sure if that is because I’m at home now and don’t have work to make the days pass by or because I already know what I’m getting into that I want to skip all the pregnancy stuff and meet Greyson. Not that I don’t enjoy the pregnancy part of things because I don’t have much to complain about. It is still just as amazing to feel and see my tummy move and really have that mother/baby bond with my child before he actually even gets to earth. I am so excited to give Bronson a little brother and see these little boys bond and grow up together!

Pregnancy Updates till now:

-At my 26 week appointment {I was 26w4d} I measured at 25 weeks. That doesn’t change my due date at all just means this little guy is small! {I’m not that surprised}

-I have gained a total of 15 pounds {right on track to the goal weight}

-On Mother’s Day I made a surprise visit to the Labor and Delivery triage because I started spotting {sorry TMI} that morning {not a ton}. Since it was a Sunday I was only able to call the nurse help line which, of course, suggested I go to the hospital. It turned out to be nothing. The spotting was totally gone after I got home. They couldn’t figure out why I was bleeding but they were just glad it stopped. They did however send some samples to the lab to test for the chance of delivering within the next 2 weeks. Thank goodness that came back negative! The result of my hospital visit was an extra ultrasound!! Not really the reason you want to get one done but once I knew all was well I was thrilled to see my baby again!! I was able to get a 3d ultrasound pic of him and I must say, he is pretty cute!! I think he looks a lot like his brother!!

-Heartburn has kicked in and it is horrible!!

-Also, someone has started to invade my ribs. I am so grateful that he waited until now to do so because it made pregnancy really painful with my sweet Bronson when he decided to take over around 15-18 weeks!

-I can’t get enough of In N Out with this pregnancy. It was Chick-Fil-A with Bronson and I’m lovin’ the fact that In N Out is so convenient in Arizona. I can get it whenever I want!

I guess the fact that we no longer have a baby around here anymore is a good thing considering we have a new bundle arriving in about 12 weeks. I think this goes for most parents though, it’s sad to see all of the baby disappear out of your little person. We officially have a toddler in the house. Nick and I just sit back and watch Bronson be Bronson and are amazed that there isn’t a single bit of baby left in this little guy!! We love him more than anything and he is at such a fun age right now that we can’t get enough!

{Bye, Bye Daddy}

On some days Bronson will wake up before Nick leaves for work and is happy to walk him out the door and wish him well for the day. He gives him a kiss and waves saying “bye,bye daddy”. It is the cutest thing e.v.e.r! This particular morning he didn’t get to say bye but that didn’t stop him from finding daddy in the picture on his own and telling him bye,bye there!! Love him!!

{Mr. Independent}

We have officially graduated from the high chair to a booster seat. This little man is such a better eater and much more happy now that he gets to eat with the big people! The highchair in the background is now stored away for Greyson to use later! Yay for making room!!

Hilarious… this is Bronson laughing with a mouth full of sand because we are laughing at him. His laugh normally looks a lot cuter than this but I think the sand makes it a little scary!!

This time thinking the sand doesn’t taste very good… boys!

I bought Bronson this adorable water and sand table to be able to entertain him out on the patio. Nick didn’t think it was a very good idea considering we don’t have much space on our patio and we are in an apartment so the clean up is a little bit more difficult. I may or may not partially agree but that doesn’t change the fact that this little boy loves playing in the sand and getting all dirty like a boy should!! I guess I will just have to deal with the mess until we have more space!!

BTW, I know it must look like my child never gets dressed but I have to say that he DOES in fact get dressed everyday even if some of those days it is just in lounge clothes!!!

Pregnancy thus far has not been something to complain about. My best guess is that if I am miserable with baby #3 I will know well before my ultrasound that I am having a little girl. This pregnancy has been much like my first. I feel great, a little nauseous at the beginning and really tired. The first time around I felt a huge difference when I went from the 1st trimester to the 2nd. I had all the energy in the world. This time around I feel the exact same as the 1st trimester, still tired and sluggish. I blame it either on chasing an 18 month old around or being home all day or both! The one major difference this time is that I am carrying much lower with Greyson than I did with Bronson. I actually feel smaller this time than I did the first time. I have hardly any back pain, thank goodness, only lower pain in my tailbone (which is still horrible but bearable).

Greyson so far has been so pleasant to carry. He is gentle with his kicks (most of the time) and really active when I’m sitting. He is most active just before I’m waking up in the morning. If it isn’t Bronson crying in the monitor it’s Greyson moving around that wakes me up! He is also very active at night when it’s time to sit down and relax before bed. Most of the time it feels like he is moving his foot, knee or elbow across my belly more than kicking me. He has been so good to my ribs, they have had no pain what so ever (I wish I could have said the same for his brother)! I will get the occasional stretch from him where I have both sides of my belly fully stretched.

I am so excited to meet this little guy and to add another crazy yet lovable little boy to my family. Only14 more weeks to go!!

{He’s a Big Boy now}

Ok. You can’t judge the pictures. I wasn’t expecting to take Bronson to nursery until next week so I didn’t come prepared with my camera. We had to make due with Nick’s phone and this is most importantly for my documents and memory so they will have to do!!

I can’t believe that my little boy is old enough to be in nursery. I have been waiting for this day since he became really mobile and active. Basically from about 9 months on he wasn’t very good about sitting in our laps during class so we have been roaming the halls with him ever since. Now that the day is actually here I couldn’t quite handle it (blame it on pregnancy or just being a mom, I’m not sure). Nick told me in sacrament meeting that we were going to take him in today and I started to tear up. I held back though. I was out in the halls with Bronson just before the meeting was over and class was about to start when one of the sweet nursery leaders came up to me to invite us into nursery and introduce herself to Bronson and I. As we walked in the leaders were so sweet and friendly to Bronson, it made both of us feel comfortable. He lasted about 15 minutes. We dropped him off and ran to do a few quick things before I headed to Primary and Nick to class. As I pass back by the nursery room toward Primary I can hear my little guy crying. I stop to check on him and he wouldn’t let me leave. He stayed in class the whole time but Nick and I had to switch off through the next 2 hours to keep him calm. Overall I think he did really well, it will just take some time for him to get used to the kids and teachers that are in there.

**Minor issue to remember…. he escaped on his first day of nursery!! The door was open and he saw an out and took it!**

Easter 2011

{Easter Morning-The Basket}

Bronson wasn’t nearly as excited about his Easter basket as the Easter Bunny would have liked but that’s ok, maybe next year. He got books, candy and a new shirt! (Which he looks pretty handsome in!) Dad put him in his Easter basket last year too and let’s just say he liked it a whole lot more then, than he did now!

{Easter Afternoon- The Hunt}

We put together an Easter egg hunt for the boys and it went a lot better than expected. It literally took one time of showing them how to find the eggs and put them in the basket and it was a race from there! Then they were able to open their Easter presents from Nana and Papa!! They got a set of golf clubs, giant sand toys, bubbles and some candy! Thanks Nana & Papa!

{Barney and Me}

It must be documented the absolute LOVE my son has for Barney and the LOVE/HATE relationship I have with Barney. I love how much Barney can make Bronson laugh and how happy he is every morning when he runs to the couch with his blanky and sippy because he knows that I am heading for the remote to turn on his favorite show. I hate that I know just about every song and every word to each song that Barney sings on not just one but all episodes. Not to mention that I find myself singing Barney throughout the day and even in my sleep. The things we do to keep our kiddos happy!! It makes me laugh that my nephew Beck has the same obsession with Barney and my SIL and I find ourselves discussing different episodes and laughing at different parts that our kids love but we think are so retarded we HAVE to laugh!

These are the many faces of Bronson while watching Barney. How could I not suffer through Barney when he has such adorable expressions while watching it??!!

(Yes, we often run around in diapers, especially when we had an overflowing diaper from the night before!)

His growing up is bittersweet for me. It has been in the last 2 months or so that he has totally turned into a toddler in looks and actions. I have had many people mention how much he has, all of the sudden, grown up. It really was right before my eyes. I put him down one night as a babe and he wakes up the next morning as a little boy! I love each new stage with him. He is so much fun to interact with. He keeps us entertained at all times and always on our toes. He is into everything and one of the most loving boys I have ever met. His eyes light up when dad walks in the door every day and everything in the room stops… it makes Nick’s face light up too! He is talking (mostly his own language) non-stop, running, clapping, playing pat-a-cake (an expert at rolling his arms), climbing, always laughing and much, much more. He has this cheesy smile that is to die for. We melt every time! He is the love of our lives and we couldn’t imagine a world without him!

He loves sitting with his dad and playing with anything electronic.

Swimming is a favorite “mommy and me” time. It’s a fun out that we have come to enjoy many times a week. I love that living in Arizona we have access to pools almost everywhere you live!

Look what Santa brought me…

We spent the first part of our vacation with Nick’s sister Melesa and her family. Grandpa Jensen came early Christmas morning to see Bronson open all of his gifts and just spend the morning with us!

Grandpa showed Bronson how to put his Cheerios all over his face…

And no Christmas morning is the same with out Christmas Breakfast. Melesa made us their childhood favorite (Momma Trixie’s recipe of waffles) and bacon!

Then we ended our morning with calling home to Arizona to wish Nana and Papa Curtis a

The rest of our vacation was spent with Nick’s Aunt and Uncle Morley. This is were Bronson got to experience snow for the very first time!!

Doesn’t he make such a cute little bundled up Utah boy?? Unfortunately my son’s mouth starts to chatter when it is 50 degrees outside!!

We had so much fun visiting with family and friends for almost a whole 2 weeks. It took awhile to get back to visit since we moved but it was well worth the wait. We enjoyed our time there and had a blast watching Bronson interact with everyone!!

{Country Style-In the Cotton Fields}

We went to a Family Reunion in Thatcher, AZ. My parents grew up in this area and it is a whole different ballpark from what I have always been used to. There are so many amazing places there to take photographs. I have been wanting to get pictures of Bronson in the Cotton Fields since the last time we headed that direction. As we were leaving to head home I really thought it was going to be a lost cause again. I was wrong, we found ONE out of I don’t know how many fields that hadn’t been picked yet. I was so excited to get these pictures that I had to wake the poor babe up. He seemed to do really good considering he face planted and got a huge scratch on his forehead!!

Trunk or Treat 10-23-2010

Our ward put on a Trunk or Treat on Saturday. We got the babe all dressed up for a second time the same day and headed over to the church. All of the kids were dressed up so cute and even some of the adults were all decked out! We had a Chili Cook-Off and Hotdogs then everyone went to their cars and opened the trunk for the kiddos to come around and collect their yummies!! We couldn’t pass on a few cars but Nick threw in the towel halfway through because he was embarrassed that everyone knew the candy wasn’t for Bronson. We had fun though and some of the cars were done up so well with smoke and music and everything!!

Pumpkin Patch 2010

Last weekend we went to Schnepf Farms with with the family. We had fun and the weather was amazing!! The boys had fun being toted around in the wagon. We went on a few rides, took the train around the farm and I dressed Bronson in his costume for some pictures at the farm!!

The sad part of it all was Bronson broke out in a huge rash from his first attempt on whole milk!! We were told by his Dr. to try transitioning him two weeks prior to his 12 month check up. As the Dr. ordered I gave him 1 oz. of whole milk along with 7 oz. of formula. He held everything down fine, and LOVED the milk, for about and hour. Dad took him to the store and he threw up 3 times!! Needless to say my car smelled terrible. We decided to go to the pumpkin patch anyways and as soon as we got there he started to break out in a rash! Dad being the hero he left and went searching everywhere for bubblegum Benadryl because Bronson won’t take any other kind!! With all of that, it turned out to be a pretty good day!!

He walks!!! Well not totally yet but he took his first step on 10-11-2010 and he has been trying a little more everyday!! This little boy makes me so happy!! I am so grateful to be able to stay at home with him and experience his 'firsts' first hand!! He is growing up so fast, I can't believe he will be 1 in less than 3 weeks!! He is also getting his 6th tooth this week. I sure do love this little boy!!

I can't believe you are almost ONE!! It is amazing how fast the time goes! I feel like it is bittersweet watching you grow up... I love watching as you learn new things and grow into the little boy that you are. I get sad when I think that you almost aren't a baby anymore! You have such and bright and funny personality and you are such a joy to be around! You make us laugh EVERY. SINGLE. DAY and you think it is so funny when you make us laugh! It has been a short and quick 11 MONTHS and I couldn't imagine my life without you in it. I love you!!

The Experience

We had lunch at the HeartAttackGrill and honestly, when I first walked in I really wasn't sure what to think. Nick and Brandon were so excited to try this place and they could not wait! I looked around and saw women dressed up like old fashioned nurses (except scandalous) people walking around in Dr. attire and customers dressed up in hospital robes... I was ready to walk out! Of course we didn't we sat down and tried it anyways and it actually turned out to be quite the experience!! We had so much fun and we will definitely go back but probably only once a year!! Here is a glimpse into the experience...

Seriously, they weigh you and feed you for free if you are over 350lbs!!

The hamburgers really were delish!

This isn't a real ambulance but if you eat the Quadruple Bypass Burger they wheel you out in a wheelchair and check you out in the Ambulance!!

Today my baby said his first word!! He has been doing the copy cat thing for awhile and we always get a similar noise to the word we are asking him to say but today he actually said "DaDa" it comes out more like "adahdahdahdah". I called Nick at work to try and get Bronson to tell his daddy but all we got were grunts!! At least I tried!!

These little moments are what make staying at home so special!!

6:27 AM- This little monster decided join us in bed bright and early!! Both Nick and I were not willing to budge from bed just yet so we all laid in bed for an extra hour and a half!!! Love Saturday mornings with the family!!

Our favorite time of day- Bath time!! We all have something to love about bath time. Bronson, loves to be naked and playing in the water! Daddy, gets his bonding time with this cute little kiddo. Mommy, gets a little break and a CLEAN smelling baby!!!

I had to borrow Nick's phone during church because I don't bring my camera to church with me, just everywhere else!! I told him "I guess I need to start bringing my camera to church too." His response..."That takes the Spirit right out of Church, doesn't it!" Me: "No, I'm capturing the moments and I'll blog about Spiritual things!!"

Ten Months and growing up SO quick!! We have loved every minute with this boy the good & the not so good!! He has been such a blessing to our lives and we wouldn't trade him for the world!!

A few things we want to remember about Bronson up till now...

He loves watching football (definitely his fathers child)...
He loves people watching (him and I could do this all day long)...
He has this really high pitched squeal that can get on your deepest nerve but he wouldn't be the same without it!
His favorite book is COLORS, infact he loves taking it to bed with him. (I found him in bed this morning, after his nap, not making a peep... flipping the pages in his book. So cute)
His favorite toy is his choo-choo train. He smiles everytime you press a button to make a noise. (That doesn't include the forbidden toys that aren't actually toys. See here & here.)
He is starting to dance.
He pulls up on everything.
He has 2 teeth.
He has the most adorable laugh!

He is our little monster and we love him so much!!!

Since I started my Project 365 blog I find that I take about 5o to 100 pictures a day!! Most of the pictures are delete worthy but I still capture quite a few that I have to edit and post anyways!! Thank goodness for my family blog!! It gives me good reason to update this blog more often!!

Here are a few randoms that I have ran across in the past week...

1. My little man got his 3rd haircut!! Can you believe he is 9.5 months old and he has already needed three haircuts!! I {heart} my little clean cut boy!! 2. Can you tell it was nap time? I wonder what gave it away?? I guess playing with toys wears a kiddo out!! I love that he looks so big in the picture!!

3. On Monday Bronson and I ran into Aunt Beth and Beck at the Dr. office! Both of the boys had their well check up on the same day... we figured it out the night before! So Beth and I planned a Lunch/Shopping date for after the appt. Here are the cute boys at Costa Vida, Beck calm and Bronson never fails to cry when we walk into a restaurant!! He comes from a family that LOVES food, I have no idea why he hates restaurants so much!!

4. A little boy and his choochoo train... Bronson got a fun new toy today that he couldn't get enough of it in the store!! It makes all sorts of fun train and animal noises!! Wish me luck... there is no on/off button!

A Quarter to ONE

Look at me I'm 9 and 1/2 months old...

This is Bronson's first time having a band aid anywhere besides his legs. He was really interested in it!!

9 Month Stats:

There has been a LOT of new things going on with Bronson this month!!

He is crawling everywhere and getting into everything!!
He is pulling up on things, especially mom and dad!
He still sucks his thumb. It is becoming more of a habit!
He has been banned from the kitchen (for safety reasons only)
He has learned the word NO and Bronson, don't touch. He is really good about it too!!
He went on his first road trip.
He has 2 teeth!! We discovered the 1st one yesterday and 2nd one today!! F.I.N.A.L.L.Y!!! I have been blaming his grumpy moods on teething since he was 4 months old!!!
He got his first owie last week. We were at the store and he fell over in the shopping cart and bonked his gum!!! It was such a sad moment for me!! I honestly almost started to cry in the store for him!! This was the cause of tooth #1 coming through.

We love you baby boy!! You are the highlight of our lives!!!

Can I come with you to "Vegas" again??

My 'Great' Grandad Curtis...

This weekend we got to drive to Safford, AZ for a family baby blessing. Bronson finally got to meet the rest of the Curtis Clan!! My Grandad got sick last week so we got to visit him in the hospital. It was SO sweet to see him with Bronson!! It is amazing to see the generations of family together! I {heart} it!! These are some of my favorite pictures of them together!!

SOLD! My son never takes naps when we are not at home... not this time!! My dad discovered this comfy chair in my Aunt and Uncles furniture store....put on the vibrator and he was out!! Cutest thing ever!!!

Bronson is 9 months old! Time is going by so fast!! My baby is going to be ONE in 3 short months! I still have some time but those 3 months will go by in what feels like 3 weeks!! He is growing up and learning something new everyday! It is such a joy to watch this little being change everyday! What a blessing to be able to mold this child into a wonderful Child of God. We feel so lucky to have Bronson in our lives and to be able to share everyday with him! These last 9 months have been nothing short of Amazing!!

Big Boy Haircut

Oh so handsome!! July 15th was Grandma Curtis' birthday and Bronson was in much need of a haircut!! This is his 2nd haircut in his whole 8 months!!! Most babies don't get their first cut until they are at least 1 if not older!!! What can I say, he has good locks!

He was such a champ and loved getting his hair cut! He loves looking in the mirror so it was a good thing we had a distraction because I was all alone!!

and 2 weeks late again! These monthly post come around so quick that I really can't believe how close my little boy's 1st birthday is!! He is 8.5 months and in just 3 short months he will be 1! We are so in love with this kid words can't even explain! We are smitten. He has such a darling personality and such a sweet spirit. He has so much love to give and is rarely in a bad mood. He is like his mama when it comes to sleep, he LOVES it!! One thing he did not get from me is the sweet smile you see every time you wake him up!! He gets his love for music and electronics from his daddy.

4th of JULY Weekend

Our first 4th in Arizona wasn't all that exciting! We have heard that there isn't much to do here because it is so dang hot but we had no other choice but to see for ourselves this year!! So my parents and the 3 of us decided to get in the car and go for a day drive. We all wanted to get away from the insane heat as much as possible so we drove up to the mountains in Payson. It was still hot but much nicer than Phoenix is this time of year!! We ate at a fun Buffalo Burger joint in Payson, drove around and saw all the fun greenery you don't get to enjoy in Phoenix and drove home through the Tortilla Flats. That was a blast. It was a really crazy, curvy, bumpy road that landed us in this small town with a population of like 16. (Note to self: Next time bring the truck!) We got yummy fudge and were on our way back home.

Attending a Diamond Backs game in an air conditioned stadium with a fireworks show

Heading to Salt Lake to enjoy boating and cooler weather!!!

To my wonderful husband, you are an amazing dad and I just love the way Bronson looks up to you. His face lights up everytime you walk in the door from work. He gets so excited he instantly starts yelling and laughing! He thinks you are the funniest person in the world! Thank you for being an awesome dad and loving Bronson the way you do!

Mill Avenue

We have lived here for a little more than 7 months and we finally decided to go to Mill Avenue at ASU. Nick and I haven't been down there in about 6.5 years. This was a blast for us to do with Bronson because we were taking a stroll down "Memory Lane". March 2004 was the first time Nick ever meet my dad. Nick and I came to AZ with my brother and his friend to meet up with my dad and go to a spring training game! One of our ventures out on the town was to Mill Avenue where Nick and I sat on this bench and talked about our "future" and wanting to get married and believe it or not move to Arizona...

We looked at this cute little barber shop and thought "That would be so fun for me to have" because come June 2004 I was starting hair school!
... and now, more than 6 years later we live in Arizona and have a beautiful little boy as part of our family. We were able to share this trip down "Memory Lane" with Bronson. It was so much fun to remember the things we talked about on that bench and look at our lives and see how far we have come from that day.

I'm really late on doing this post seeing as Bronson will be 8 months in less than 2 weeks. Better late than never!!! I can't believe how fast he is growing up. It is sad to see him grow up but each day and age gets more fun! We are having a blast with him.

This is his favorite thing to do...

I know, I'm a bad mom to allow him to watch t.v. so much but he loves it! He could sit there for hours if we would let him!

Some things Bronson is doing at 7 months:

He started to sit up just before 7 months.
He LOVES his kiddy movies. (These movies will always make him stop crying)
He will sit with daddy and watch youtube music videos all night long if he could.
He LOVES music! (He gets that from his dad)
His favorite song is "Forever" by Chris Brown
He eats his feet all the time.
He is a thumb sucker.
He will find any computer/remote hidden or not... he loves them.
He is rocking back and forth on all fours... crawling soon maybe.
He can get anywhere he wants to by rolling and turning in circles.
He makes farting noises with his mouth.
He LOVES to roll over in the tub and play in the water on his tummy.
He LOVES to go to the swimming pool and play in his floaty.
He grabs daddy's go-tee all the time.
He is always looking for mommy when dad walks around with him.
He is absolutely one of the happiest babies I have ever been around!

SummerTIME

I have to admit I am a bit of an avid TV watcher... addicted to my Spring/Fall shows and I get really sad to see them go off the air for the summer! However, I have seen a new light to summertime. Not only do I have my son that I get to play with all day everyday but I have so many goals that I wish to accomplish in my time of being a "Stay at Home Mom" and now I have no excuse but to get my butt in gear and work on them!!

Here is a list of a few things I plan to accomplish:

Food Storage- The Church has taught for years that it is very important to have a year supply of food. I know, I know I hear this all of the time and always say "I am going to start but it will have to wait till we make more money or get a bigger house or until we move because we don't want to move all of that stuff" Well the excuses are enough and I really don't think there is EVER a good time to start. You will always have something holding you back. So I plan to accomplish this and learn more about how to build my food storage and keep a continuous rotation going. I know that regardless of what we may feel is holding us back we will be blessed for our efforts.

I have joined the website Deals to Meals which will provide me with organizing sheets to keep track of everything that I have and what I am running low on. I will get instructions on how to start my food storage and how to get the entire year in less then a year. It will also provide me with all of the items on sale for each week at your local grocery stores and meals to go along with the items you find on sale. It will give me new and fun recipes to try out and everything is quick, easy & made from scratch using items on your shelf!! I am so excited to start!!

Debt Free Budgeting- We are starting the Dave Ramsey Debt Free Program. I am excited for this new challenge . We will be able to pay off any debt we may have and learn to live on a student budget. With Nick going back to school and myself staying at home we need to do our best to learn again how to live on a "Student Budget" again. We will be able to learn how to budget by paying for EVERYTHING with cash! I have heard amazing things about this program and I can't wait to see how it helps us!!
Family Home Evening/Scripture Study- It again has been said in the Church how important it is to have Family Home Evening on a weekly basis as well as Scripture Study as a family on a daily basis. I always have good intentions when I start these two things but somehow other things come up and both of these items get put on the back burner and we end up not doing them anymore. Not anymore!!! I am going to make it a priority and I feel that if Nick and I can start it now and make it a habit we should have no problem to continue this as Bronson and future children get older!
Reading- Every summer when I get sad that my shows are no longer on I remember how much I LOVE to read. I love to read fun books, church books, Ensign etc. I now have no excuse but to spend more time reading! Hopefully this will give me some better insight to the more important things in life rather than living in my fantasy world of "Greys Anatomy" or all of the other 50 shows I love!!

and last but not least....

Sewing/Baking/Crafts- I have said this before and I will say it again... I want to use some of my time being at home to hone my skills in the kitchen, to learn to sew and be more crafty. I think that being able to learn these things can not only help around my own house by possibly saving money in certain areas but be useful for others if necessary.

I am excited for all of my Summer Goals. I feel like now I will be able to have a new focus in life and recenter my life around those things that are really important in life! Wish me luck!!

I'm Your Mommy

... and I couldn't be more proud! Last year on Mother's Day I was about 14 weeks pregnant. I couldn't believe I was going to finally be a mommy! I felt trilled, nervous, unsure but most of all overjoyed and blessed for the opportunity! Now you are 6 months old and you have taken over my world. You bring joy to each new day and show me the reason being a mother is so important. You truly have taught me so much in your 6 short months that I have not been able to learn in my 25.5 years until I had you. I may think that there are a million and one things in life that are SO "important" but when I look at the big picture the only thing that is important is our family.

I am beyond grateful to have you in my life and especially your daddy who has helped to make our family what it is! You have such a sweet spirit, you are determined, smart, funny and the sparkle in my eye.

Thank you Bronson for allowing me to be your mommy and for being part of our Eternal Family.

6 Months

.... guess who is half a year old already!!

It goes by way too fast. It feels like we just met him for the first time yet it feels like he has always been with us. We are so in love with this little boy. He can always make a bad day go away. His laugh lights up a room and his smile is so charming. He makes life more interesting and our world go round. We couldn't ask for a more perfect son.

We have a growing little boy. His height... does not come from his mom or dad. It must come from Papa Curtis!!! We'll see if he is just tall for now or if he is going to be a tall boy.

Cereal was NOT a happy first for Bronson...

We are still working on getting him used to cereal and it is actually getting better. I have to have a bottle standing by to wash it down!! Maybe we will need to try some other types of food! These pictures of him are adorable, I couldn't leave any out!!!

Bronson is 5 months now! He is growing up so fast!!

Things to remember at 5 months:
-He is sleeping on his tummy now.
-He is sleeping through the night!
-Rolling everywhere.
-He is very interested in getting places just hasn't fully figured out how yet!
-Such a happy baby.
-His smile and laugh melts my heart!
-He talks all the time and is LOUD!
-He loves his exersaucer.
-He ate cereal for the first time and HATED it!! (we are still working on that one)
-He holds his own bottle.
-He loves his Baby Genius movies.
-He now prefers to put himself to sleep instead of being rocked! So far he is growing out of things on his own instead of me weaning him off of them. (his binkie and rocking him to sleep)

Phoenix Zoo:
We went to the zoo for Bronson's frist time with family and friends a couple of weeks ago! It was a blast but I spent most of the time behind the camera instead of enjoying the animals!! It is a whole new experience when you have a kiddo to take care of!!

Our Hutch Remodeled...

My brother and I refinished this lovely hutch a few weeks ago. It was a HUGE project but totally worth it!

Swimming in March:

It is warm outside but not warm enough to swim. We still tried though! One of the pools is supposed to be heated so Nick's cousin Chantel and I decided to take Bronson out for his first swim! Turns out the water was pretty cold but we got some quick pictures for his first visit to the pool! Daddy was even lucky enough to meet us there after work just as we got to the pool!!

Hiking at SanTan Mountain:

We took advantage of a nice Saturday and went on a 3 mile hike. It was a beautiful day but I was really nervous about Bronson getting sunburned so we covered him up completely! As we were starting on our trek you could tell we were not used to the weather being so nice so early in the year. We past another family on a walk with a child about the same age as Bronson and he was dressed in only a onsie! Opps, poor Bronson was a little sweaty by the time we were done with our hike. We are learning though!!

And... we had Visitors!!

Nick's Aunt Charmaine and cousin Chantel came to stay with us for a total of 2 weeks!! It was so nice to have them come and visit and especially for them to be able to spend time with Bronson. He has changed so much since we moved and they last saw him. It was a blast to see him interact with them.

We also had a quick visit from his Uncle Kelly. So Charmaine and I took advantage and got some really fun pictures of the two of them in Old Town Gilbert. We spent the rest of the week editing pictures in Photoshop.

We had a great March now here is to what April will bring!!

{Four Months...}

No, he is NOT crawling yet this was staged! Just too cute to pass up sharing!!

March 3rd Bronson turned 4 months old!!

4 Month Stats:

Weight: 14 lbs 7 oz - 40th%
Height: 25.5 in - 72nd%
Head: 16.8 in - 64th%

I was SO happy and shocked when I went to his Dr appointment and we got to check his weight (the best part of the visit, I think). I knew forsure he was at least in the high 12's or low 13's but I did NOT expect 14 1/2 lbs!! Before we went to his appointment Bronson's Aunt Beth put in her guess of what his stats would be (I think she knows him better than ME!!) she guessed 14 lbs and 25 in, now that is pretty impressive!! To understand how much of a change this is you have to know that we had an appointment with the G.I. Dr to check back on his Reflux on January 28th. At that appointment he weighed in at exactly 11 lbs and measured at 23 in. So in 1 short month & a few days he gained 3 1/2 lbs and grew 2 1/2 in!!

{What's on the Agenda?}

The month of March is going to be a busy but fun month for us!

Here is what we have been doing and what is coming up on our Agenda:

Nick: This month Nick will be starting up a new program at work. This will be the start of his new promotion! I am proud of him and he is very excited for this new challenge. He has been working very hard and doing an amazing job so that I am able to S.A.H. with Bronson! Nick is also in the process of going back to school for his Bachelors Degree. (insert smile here)
**Side Note: The other day Nick got a phone call from a gentlemen at work asking for directions to his office. Without even thinking he was able to spout off the exact directions to get there from the location this man was at. Later that night when Nick was telling me this story he said with a smile on his face "After I hung up the phone I thought, Wow I really do live here now!" (I think he was really proud of himself!)

Lindsey: I am taking a Cake Decorating Class the next 4 Mondays in March as well as a Sewing Class every Thursday for the next 6 weeks! I am so excited! I love to bake and just be in the kitchen. I have especially loved it since I have been at home and I have had more time to do it. Something new to add to the kitchen! I hope to be able to make something of it as well! Also, I have been wanting to learn to sew for about 2 or 3 years now since I got my sewing machine for a birthday present and I have yet to learn!! I did make Bronson a quilt which was a big deal but I don't know that I could do that again!!! I have also made a list of "My Goals for Hobbies in 2010" and I plan to do my best to accomplish each one of them and actually make them Hobbies!!! I figure I am blessed to have the opportunity to be at home and I should make the most of my down time! Why not be more Crafty and Well Rounded, it never hurts right??

Bronson: He will be 4 months old on the 3rd of March! He is growing up SO fast!!! I have to say, of course it makes me sad that he is growing up so fast but I LOVE every new stage he is in! He is a blast to have around and he is one of the happiest children I have ever been around! He is absolutely a joy to be around and I'm sure I could just stare at him all day long!! He has his 4 month check up on the 5th so his new stats will be coming!
**Side Note: If there is someone that can A.L.W.A.Y.S make Bronson laugh it would be his daddy! He knows when his daddy gets home from work and every time he sees him his face just lights up and for no reason he will let out a laugh! Melt my heart!!!

Extras on the Agenda: We will be having our first Arizona visitors! We are so excited to see some familiar faces from Utah! Nick's Aunt Charmaine and Cousin Chantel well be staying with us in total for almost 2 weeks!! I'm not exactly sure how to entertain here just yet but we will do our best!!!

As far as Arizona goes, we are really getting adjusted to our new home and I really think we are going to LOVE it here! The weather is beautiful, the people are so nice and we are meeting a lot of new friends! I feel like this has been a huge step for me to come out of this "shy" bubble I have always been in and it makes me happy!

BTW, I am trying this whole "not being private gig" again. I'll let you know if I change my mind again!!!

So here is an update on our little man:

Bronson rolled over for the first time!

We were SO proud of him! He has never been a huge fan of "Tummy Time" and because he had such a rough start to life I was worried it would take awhile for him to catch up to children his own age. Well, I can just say he proved his momma wrong forsure! He is growing like a weed and extremely active. He has caught up in no time at all!!

{Some Things Bronson Is Doing Now!}

*He actually doesn't mind Tummy Time now!

*He loves playing with his toys!

*He loves to read books & watch his kiddy movies!

*He would much rather be laying on the floor then doing anything else!

*He is starting to grow out of his swing (sigh)

*He rolled from back to tummy 1x (We are still working with him to do it again!!)

*He is no longer taking his reflux medication!! YaY!

*He is always laughing or smiling at something!

*He will pretty much have NOTHING to do with his binky (which if you have been around him you know he has LOVED his binky since DAY 1)

*He absolutely LOVES to listen to iTunes and dance with daddy!! (Cutest thing to watch!)

I have a really hard time figuring out who Bronson looks like. We have had mixed reviews from everyone. To me he looks like his own little person and I have a hard time seeing either of us in him. Besides the fact that he mirrors his daddy's personality to a tee!!

I can't believe he is already 2 months old! It feels like just yesterday I was in the hospital praying he would hurry up and get here!! Now, he is here and we are so in love!

Here are a few things to remember about Bronson up until now:

He is such a good baby and rarely complains
I know when he is telling me he is hungry, tired or has a dirty diaper. If all of that is taken care of, he is happy
He just smiles away
He loves to listen to you talk and will even talk back
He loves to be sang to
He is a great little sleeper
He is an excellent eater
He loves to cuddle
He occasionally thinks his binkie is a game
He adores his daddy!
And he is absolutely a joy to be around!

Bronson, we love you so much and you are such a blessing to our family! You bring such an amazing spirit into our home and you keep us centered. You make us remember everyday the joys of a simple life. We love you and can't wait to continue to watch you grow!

{First Haircut}

As you can see Bronson was starting to form a mohawk! As a hairstylist mom, who is not a fan of mohawks, I decided it was time to give this little man a trim!

He did such a good job! He pretty much smiled at Nick the entire time!! Towards the end he was letting me know HE WAS DONE!

We were able to meet our niece & cousin Ady for the first time over Christmas. It was a blast having all of the babies together!

{Jensen/Curtis Family Christmas}

This Christmas was very different then any other we have ever had! First we had a fun new addition to our family who, based on the pictures below, you can tell just LOVED Christmas!! Also, we had our first Christmas in our new hometown! We have had Christmas in Arizona before but it was much different this year because we haven't experienced the snow at all this year! I didn't think it would be very much to miss but it was definitely different and is going to be something to get used to!! Hopefully next year we will be able to get into the Christmas spirit a little bit easier when our life isn't so crazy and Bronson is more excited about it!!! All in all we had a blast! We were able to spend Christmas with Bronson's cousin Beck which was a blast. It was his first Christmas too and he just loved it!! We are so excited to end out the week meeting our niece Ady (my sisters new baby girl)!! We can't wait to have all the babies together this year for their very first Christmas!! It is a rare opportunity to have each one of the individual families within my own family to have a baby within the same year let alone within 2 1/2 months of each other!!! There are a bundle of pictures below so everyone can enjoy Bronson's first Christmas!!! We miss all of our family and friends in Utah!! Merry Christmas Everyone!!
